yesterday i’d gone to lunch with attilio r and julian at everton park (impeding the progress of science, you know, and two scientists at one go is a topping achievement) and the bill had come to a litle less than i’d expected. later that evening discovering that the cashier had keyed in 14cents for 14 dollars i had gone back today to pay the difference, and stayed for tea while i was there. the next thing i knew the chef (anthony yeoh of cocotte, actually!!) had sent out a complimentary watermelon salad with crabmeat, olives, red onions, feta, mint and a little honey drizzle.
