you can do worse than give a woman this tetsu to kinu (鉄と絹スカーフ) (literally “iron and silk”) scarf, which is a reproduction of one of artist miya ando’s steel paintings.

(also, when you put the words sword making and silk together i think of miss flitworth and death sharpening his reaping scythe on her wedding dress.)
