when you begin a sentence
with can i tell you something’
i was expecting something more earthshattering.

v:
let me ask you a question.


me:
SEE. again.


v:
you’ve known me for.. how long now?
20 years of something, correct?
how often have i ever had earthshattering news to relate?
… again what?


me:
that’s what i mean by again.
when you begin with let me ask you this”
you should have followed with a devastating question
but no, you make some piddling rhetorical point!
