vegan kaya made of pumpkin is definitely the sort of thing that makes one exclaim tick, v.g. i found a jar left over from a vegan dinner party the mother threw last night for her buddhist studies classmates (i expect some guest brought it) and since nothing in the jalan naung fridge is sacrosanct to me i had it all. fabulous if a tad less creamy and lighter than a true custard. i may have to look into making my own henceforth.also: five-kernel mooncakes are often disappointing but when done well the taste of candied winter melon is very gratifying.
