i like the place and the way they use the space and the food is okay — it’s not fantastic, but it’s decent, definitely acceptable quality for the average singapore cafe and the price are very reasonable, i would even say on the low side and they don’t charge gst or service charge, if you want to you can tip them they source from farms with sustainable or eco-friendly practices it’s easy for me to get to, the chef, if he’s there, knows me the unfortunate thing is that the chef is not often there, he has another restaurant, so he only comes in once in a while so the quality is not consistent depending on who makes the fod on a given day but when it is off it’s at least, okay, acceptable and when it is good, it can be very good they’re actually much better on the week ends whent he chef comes in and cooks specials
when they first started out they had two separate menus they had a lunch menu that is tarts and quiches and pastas and sandwiches and then they close at 3 to prep for dinner and dinner they had a real dinner menu, not cafe food but cooked, restaurant food, like fish and meats and things like that, nicely plated, the chef was usually here so i used to come in for dinner with friends and sometimes lunch then i think it sort of got going, and it was on its feet, the chef stopped coming over here and i found the quality fluctuating, going downhill and then i think they couldn’t keep the lunch dinner format going so they turned into an all day menu, they don’t close, but they only have the one cafe/brunch type menu so i stopped coming but i would come here during the day if i want a place to sit down and read and check my email and have some tea
