J: Sorted. OCD satisfied…Do you think most people recognise that there are four distinct shapes of nuggets?
M: I think they must recognise that they come in different shapes, I don’t suppose they categorise them in their minds..
J: Yes but do they realise there are only four shapes or do they think they’re completely random? … I wonder what is the distribution of different nugget shapes in a box of mcnuggets.
M: Go get a few more boxes as sample then.
J: No no, I have to calculate a priori how many nuggets we have to buy to do this
M: Darling. Have some of my mcflurry and stop worrying.

M: You know in fact I had this nugget conversation with Su-Lin only a few weeks ago. It wouldn’t be a problem for her because only the diamond shaped ones are nuggets; to her other shapes are not real nuggets.
J: Really? To me the boot ones are the archetypal nuggets, but I agree, the round ones are not nuggets.
M: They are all nuggets to me, little lumps of things.
J: No! The round ones are not nuggets. They are just… oversized tater rounds that are chicken.

M: Do nuggets have to be any shape? What about a nugget of gold. What shape would that have to be, or a nugget of wisdom?
J: A nugget of gold is uneven but spheroid.
M: Why spheroid? That seems unlikely. Are you perhaps thinking of Ingots? No wait ingots would be blockish and long. I think I might be thinking about a yuanbao. What is the english word for yuanbao?
J: Dunno.

J: When you visualise a nugget of wisdom it would be three-dimensional right? I mean If a nugget of wisdom were flat it couldn’t be very…
M: Wise?
J: Substantial! It would be like a nugget someone sat on.
