minz concedes a strategic cake

me: it is settled that it will be a red velvet wedding cake.
su-lin: red velvet is not even a proper cake it’s just a lot of artificial colouring!
me: yes yes, but i conceded the cake to julian so that i have control over the flowers*!



*peonies, sweetpeas, freesias and ranunculuses: minz’s favourite flowers, and unfortunately, no man in singapore is ever going to get this right. is it not said that if you want a thing done properly you’ve got to do it yourself? a red velvet cake is but a small sacrifice for the sake of the right blooms featuring in the floral embellishments.
