it irks me more than it should, but how is a trust supporting “research” by essentially anti-stratfordian cranks (re: hopkins’ will trust [1964] 3 All ER 46) valid as a charitable trust (under the head of advancement of education) but bernard shaw leaving money to standardise english orthography not valid for being a purpose trust? (in this and other matters shakespearean i am guided by rikita t, respectable renaissance scholar and steadfast grad-school comrade, whose wrath, when incensed on the subject of anti-stratfordians, would scorch the countrysides of several quite large nations.)
