no more afternoon teas with beloved friends in tiong bahru flats. no more sneaking off in the day to exhibitions and movies. no more peeled grapes and self-indulgence and certainly no more impeding (!) the progress of science. time to pass some exams!!!grindstone, nose. nose, grindstone.
obviously this list of abjurations do not include my comfort books, currently another cycle of fred vargas (i’m only trying to keep v company..)
and if you believed all that your knowledge of me is probably entirely fanciful, for, as the estimable jim nohrnberg used to say: her conscience is big but her concentration is small.
