Garth Greenwell had been a few years ahead of me in my department when I was in graduate school; I barely knew him but scurried past him at my mousiest in the hallways (for in those days I was always mousy). I feel always shy in sharing this, but I can hardly wait for his novel, What Belongs to You, (published by FSG), to be out January next.
